WOW – it seems like a while since we have had an SSN this high. In fact, VK0EK had really crummy luck – just after they started on the air – the SSN dropped to something like 11. VK0EK was not all that loud most of the time – but were always workable from the West Coast. There were a few times when they were loud – I do remember one morning on 40M where they were quite loud.
Its almost impossible to tell what this means – there is a 27 day rotation of the sun, and conditions around an equinox can be very different than “normal” – but normal at this point in the sunspot cycle is just plain pretty grim.
