I will take the HA-1 “TO Keyer” apart today and test the tubes and make a list of what caps I will need to order to recap.
While I was under the house getting the two bolts to add the fans to the MFJ-267, an attempt to deliver the KWS-1 happened – and I didn’t even see the note on the door until late. Dang it – Murphy’s Law – the carrier said it wouldn’t be delivered until Monday. Arrrggh.
OK – at least I can get this re-capping started, and I can make sure I have whatever coax and other cables ready for the KWS-1. I did find a copy of the HA-1 manual online – this is where the Internet is great. I also now have the right model number – I kept calling it the TA-1 before for some reason.
I also do want to play with the Central Electronics Multiphase RF Analyzer – its such a cool old piece of gear:
Hmmmmm – maybe I’ll hook this up to the Collins 75A-4 receiver today – that could be fun to see this old “Outer Limits” style oscilloscope in action.
The fun continues!
