I will take voltage readings from each “J” test jack on the top side of the chassis of the KWS-1 RF Deck.
The learning will be when I test at each test jack, I will look at the schematic diagram and see what circuitry and what tubes might be involved. I do understand that even though I have tested all of my tubes in the Power Supply and the RF Deck, tubes still can be bad or maybe not connecting right. Of course, I need to look at some real basics – like fuses. Its possible that one of the several fuses in the Power Supply could have blown.
I am very pleased that I get this opportunity to dig in and learn like this. I’ve been listening to my 75A-4 nightly to CW – including the ARRL W1AW nightly bulletin on 80M, and because I do not transmit much at all – I am in no hurry and am taking my time, being careful and learning a ton.
And the best part – I have three friends rooting me on!
