Autumns Rich Pageant

Our Chinese Pistachio Tree is still offering gorgeous leaves – colors I haven’t seen before

Just when I thought this tree was all done – because the very high winds stripped it of most of its leaves – it decides to leave the best for last. These last fleeting colors are just out of this world. This year the colors have a sort of “tobacco sunburst” or very “earthy” tone. Usually the colors are almost more “neon”. I’ll take this more “rusty” tone.

Our Gingko tree went from turning yellow to full on yellow – gold in just the last couple of days

The Gingko tree also seemed to skip its usual yellow – neon – and went right to gold. Its great, and this tree should be good for color through the first week of December. Here’s a blast from the past – where we shot my 40M dipole up almost 70′ and which landed me on DXCC HR with SV2ASP/A:

The gingko was featured prominently at the end – with the credits . . . just the last gold leaves on the roof . . .

Good times.
