WWII Spy Radios in the UK

My Grandfather was a Cockney from Bow – Hammersmith

My grandfather moved his family from London to Torquay as many did prior to WWII. I still have direct relatives (mostly cousins) in Winkfield (near Windsor Castle) and in Newton Abott in Devon. My favorite place is St. Ives in Cornwall.

The History Museum in Mountain View has an Enigma, which is related to Spy Radio Transmissions

My Father was from Stuttgart, but moved to the US when my Grandfather wanted nothing to do with Hitler and the Third Reich.

Imagining their lives through a Paraset and playing with simple long wire antennas – especially with my KX-3 is fun.

Next up I’ll write about a kit I (sadly) missed out on – The Bayou Jumper.
