On The Water in San Francisco

The Hercules Tug Boat with Alcatraz in the back and the Eureka Ferry boat to the right

Our New Years walk on the waterfront which ended up on the Hyde Street Pier offered many more photos than I could post in that blog a few weeks ago, so here is “Part Deux”.

On the Thayer – looking at the Balclutha

The Eppleton Hall from the UK – which made it to SF on its own steam! Golden Gate bridge in the background

The CA Thayer – a lumber ship, with the Eppleton to the left, Balclutha behind and Hercules to the right

Yes, I’ve been here in the SF Bay Area since 1982 continuous and 1979 when my family moved here, and I guess I could have landed in a lesser place. If I want to still feel the awe and love for this area that I did way back then – I go to the Hyde Street Pier. There are other great places, but this one is near the top of the list.

Time – it seems endless when we are young, and precious when we are old
